Welcome to Mrs. Hurlbert's website

Welcome to my webpage!  I am so glad you have come to visit.  I currently teach first grade at Montgomery Elementary in the Northeast Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas.  I have developed this website as a tool to support learners in my current classroom as well as in my former classrooms.   I have worked hard to include a variety of content on my site to support learners at varying levels of skill.  While some of the content focuses on activities to work with letters, words, and basic skills these will provide opportunities to master basic understanding of number and phonics concepts to build on, even for older students.  I have included many activities and games to help extend the classroom learning into student's homes.  The website includes lots of things to help make learning fun and engaging through great online games and ideas that families can do at home to help support their student's education.  We will use the activities on the site in the classroom frequently but I encourage students to utilize them at home to practice skills.
